7.1.08 - Eye-Level announces 'Flat Acting' Game!
Now that it has made its public debut as a play-tested game at Origins, we'll officially announce the plans for our next release: Flat Acting!
"Uh oh... bedlam has broken out at the Eye-Level Entertainment movie studio! The studio only has enough money to make one movie. When word of that gets out, all the genres begin a battle to make sure that movie stars them!
Flat Acting is a family-friendly strategy game where each player assumes control of a different movie genre or the movie crew. Players place and/or move game pieces around a modular game board to try and control the different parts of the movie set. At the end of the game, the player who controls the largest portion of the movie set wins."
It is in later stage play-testing at this moment and we're discussing production costs and schedules. We hope to release it during or before Q1 2009. For a more detailed look at the game, the guys from Spewgilist.com had a chance to playtest it at Origins and wrote up a nice-sized 'first-impression' at their site (Click here to visit Spewgilist.com).
We'll be releasing some concept art in the July newsletter, so sign up for the 'Focus Group' now to get in on the sneak preview! Thanks to everyone for your support; it s because of YOU that we can keep producing games that 'Focus on the Fun'!
