That’s right!

We just sent a 800 MB .zip file to our printing company. We are using the same one who printed up the original two sets. They were very meticulous the first time around, so we are expecting good things.

We will keep you abreast of any updates. Once we get an idea of when the game will get to us (after proofing, printing, safety testing, and trans-Pacific transportation), we will send out the surveys to collect all Kickstarter supporter’s information and pledging requests!

Kickstarter update!

Creating these 30+ bonus and promo cards has been a little crazy and a lot of fun! We appreciate everyone’s patience as we tried to make each card something awesome, especially the ones that were commissioned by the generous Kickstarter community. Based on everyone’s feedback, you like them as much as we do!

So the last two cards are:

A new leadership card that will be included in the game as a bonus card. Yet another subtle tribute to this company-life-affirming Kickstarter campaign.
The idea for the final card came from a bug put in my ear by our old friend/current backer, Lou. He remembered a picture of all of us back in the day, posing with none other than the original two legends, Arco and Rex. When I realized we had a spot for one more card, I couldn’t resist taking a swing at it. May this card stand in proxy for all of our old gaming buddies and all of the good times we had slaying dragons and conquering solar systems!

Give me another week and we should be very close to print ready! Stay tuned!

Here are two VERY powerful promo events… if you can get all of your martyr ducks* in a row. The second card there is a little tribute to our wonderful Kickstarter campaign.

We’ll probably be taking most of the weekend off to celebrate our mutual birthday and Easter with our families, but next week should be a big week. We are very close to getting all of the promo art done and are planning to give all of the backers a chance to look at ALL of the cards!

OK, we are on a roll! Here are the final three Lion’s Thorn animals. Notice that we replaced the Lion’s Thorn text with a badge. Not bad, eh?

We are hard at work, producing all of the wonderful bonus promotional cards for the successful Prairie Vs. Polar campaign. Here are three of the bonus animals aligned with the secretive Lion’s Thorn faction!

Wow again!

We wrapped up the 30-day funding campaign tonight at 154% funding! So thanks to everyone who supported us! We are extremely excited in producing all of the bonus promo cards and getting this thing to the printers within a month.

Well, we are walking around the old corporate headquarters a little dazed right now. The Kickstarter community have shattered our expectations and have already committed over $12,500 to the production of Prairie Vs. Polar! That means there are going to be a lot of exclusive promo cards to those backers who pledge $45 or more.

Right now that means…

The original 4 promo animals for the new habitats!
6 new animals for the secret Lion’s Thorn faction!
2 Lion’s Thorn item cards!
And now 6 cards based on YOUR ideas at the Polar Bear level!

We’ve already got a third of the promo cards done and will be working hard to complete the rest ASAP so we can get this to the printers by mid-April.

We are tracking well to cross the $13K threshold before the end of this inspiring experience. So, as a special treat, here is the newest legend in the Nature of the Beast universe… Androcles, the leader of the secretive Lion’s Thorn!
